What's so wrong with the U.S.A!
Congratulations! You are the visitor as of Sept. 15th, 2008!
Sarah Heath Palin is very dangerous to elect!
Sarah Palin is a spunky, aimable, likeable, presentable, family person who talks quite well, but:
- The worst and most dangerous item about Ms Sarah Palin
is her utter lack of foreign policy experience! She is going to be
sharing the nuclear trigger, if elected!! Ms Palin is competent only on The
Peace Corps: "I, Sarah Palin, Governor of the State of Alaska, do hereby
proclaim February 26-March 4, 2007, as: Peace Corps Week in Alaska, and
encourage all Alaskans to recognize the achievements of the Peace Corps."
Here is the scary part:
ABC News September, 11, 2008:
Sarah Palin made it clear that she believes Georgia and the Ukraine should be brought into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and protected against any future acts of Russian aggression. "Those democratic nations, I believe, deserve to be in NATO," the Alaska Governor told interviewer Charles Gibson.
When he asked whether, under the NATO treaty, the United States would have to go to war to protect Georgia if it were attacked again, Ms. Palin replied: "Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help ..."
"We have got to make sure that that is the group that can be counted upon to defend one another in a very dangerous world today," she added. Her bellicosity toward Russia was the biggest chunk in a stew of red-meat foreign policy assertions, which included granting Israel carte blanche to attack Iran if it felt itself under existential threat from that country's nuclear weapons program.
"I don't think that we should second-guess the measures that Israel has to take to defend themselves and for their security," Ms. Palin said. Ms. Palin did not appear to understand what the Bush Doctrine is. It is generally understood to be the assertion, put forward by President George W. Bush after the Sept. 11 attacks, of the right of the United States to take pre-emptive military action against states that pose a threat to U.S. national security.
When Mr. Gibson explained the doctrine to her, Ms. Palin gave it her full support. She also defended the right of U.S. forces to carry the fight against terrorists into Pakistan, even without the consent of the Pakistani government.
Under Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, an attack on any one member of NATO "shall be considered an attack against them all."
As members of NATO, the United States, Canada and most European nations would be expected to render military assistance if Georgia or the Ukraine were attacked after being accepted into the alliance.
Such a confrontation would bring about the one situation that the United States and the former Soviet Union most feared, and managed to avoid, throughout the Cold War: a direct military confrontation between the two nuclear powers.
John Ibbitson's America: Shooting from the hip on foreign policy, Palin raises spectre of war with Russia [September 12, 2008 at 6:03 AM EDT]
In the case that Mr. McCain becomes President, and that he dies in office (heavan forbid), then Ms Sarah Heath Palin becomes Ms President. If Russia performs another incursion into Georgia or a Warsaw Pact country (highly likely since Russia recognizes Abkhazia and South Ossetia which Georgia also considers its own), then NATO would be required to respond! This looks like a repetition of the "Cuban Missle Crisis", and Sarah Palin is NO John Fitzgerald Kennedy. So, a "Nuclear Winter" becomes an event with a non-nil probability! If John McCain does not see the danger here, then he does NOT deserve to win! He should drop his choice for VEEP.
- While Sarah was mayor of Wasilla, she asked the public library
librarian, Mary Ellen Emmons, how she could go around banning some books
because voters thought they had inappropriate language in them! The
librarian was aghast! (John Stein, former mayor in Time article
Sep. 02, 2008)
From the Anchorage
News, 10997/02/01 stated that Sarah Palin backed off from her plan to
fire City librarian Mary Ellen Emmons. Never a specific list of books
was created! Thus, of course, that list of books purported to be Sarah's list is a
complete hoax and only adds flames to the discussion.
- She sold the Governor's jet, not on eBay (Yes, she did try to sell it
there!), but nevertheless at a
loss! So, that was a misstatement by her! When no
offers came in, Palin hired a jet broker - Turbo North Aviation in
Anchorage - which sold the jet for $2.1 million to an Alaska businessman.
The 20-year-old Westwing II plane was originally bought by Palin's
predecessor, Frank Murkowski, or the state of Alaska for $2.7
million.
- Sarah Palin's "Bridge to Nowhere" is a love-hate relationship. First
she loved the project, proposed for the town of Ketchikan at a cost of
about $400 million. As mayor she began the practice of making
annual trips to Washington to press for them on behalf of their town.
New York Times, pp. A1 & A10, "An Outsider Who Charms" Aug 29, 2008
Q: Would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges? [Note: The Gravina Island bridge later became known as the "Bridge to Nowhere"]
A: Yes. I would like to see Alaska's infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now--while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist.Anchorage Daily News: 2006 gubernatorial candidate profile Oct 22, 2006
She finally cancelled the "earmark", but kept the money in Alaska!
- She is a card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association (NRA)!
See next section! And Stambaugh, the police chief and a member of Palin's
step-aerobics class, filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination, alleging
that Palin terminated him in part at the behest of the National Rifle
Association, because he had opposed a concealed-gun law that the NRA
supported.
- Sarah Palin is against abortion even in cases of rape and incest!
"I am pro-life. With the exception of a doctor's determination that the
mother's life would end if the pregnancy continued."
Eagle Forum 2006 Gubernatorial Candidate Questionnaire Jul 31, 2006
- Sarah Palin is for creationism in public schools:
she told the Anchorage Daily News that schools should not fear teaching creationism alongside evolution. "Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information.... Healthy debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both. And you know, I say this too as a daughter of a science teacher."Boston Globe, "A valentine to evangelical base", p. A12 Aug 30, 2008
- Sarah Palin sued the Bush administration for putting Polar Bears on the
Endangered Species list!
- Last month, Ms. Palin issued a last-minute statement of opposition to a
ballot measure that would have provided added protections for salmon from
potential contamination from mining, an action seen as crucial to its
defeat.
New York Times, pp. A1 & A10, "An Outsider Who Charms" Aug 29, 2008
- Gov. Palin has told the federal government that the state is extremely
concerned about a proposal to list Cook Inlet beluga whales as an
endangered species, and urged the National Marine Fisheries Service
(NMFS) not to list the species.
- Sarah Palin does not believe humans have had any effect on climate
change.
- Sarah Palin, who said parents of special-needs children would have an
advocate in the White House, cut funds for the Special Olympics, Catholic
Charities and Covenant House. It would be good to know what she favors
that parents need.
- Some might think a pregnant woman bypassing hospitals and traveling 22
hours to a clinic after her water broke is unwise if not
reckless.
- Conservatives have long damned teenage pregnancies as the result of a fraying moral fiber induced by the loose sexual mores of liberals, Hollywood and welfare mothers. Now when teen pregnancy comes to a Christian family, it's ``beautiful.'' Conservatives have argued that pregnant students be banned from school activities or any honors on the grounds that not censuring them conveyed tacit approval to others.
- Does Sarah Palin use government for personal gains? Yes! The former
Public Safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, has said he felt pressure from
Palin's administration, and her husband, Todd, to fire a state trooper,
Mike Wooten, who was going through a bitter divorce with the governor's
sister The trooper was not fired.
New York Times, pp. A1 & A10, "An Outsider Who Charms" Aug 29, 2008
Members of her staff tried to have her former brother-in-law fired from his job as an Alaska state trooper. Palin is under investigation to determine if Palin dismissed Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan last month because Monegan wouldn't fire a state trooper involved in a messy custody battle with her sister. The investigation launched by state lawmakers is expected to take at least three months. So the result will be available after the Nov. Election.
Violence! Always Violence! Always more Violence!

- Why does this sort of thing happen so regularly ?
- Why did the stepfather own a AK47 rifle? There is NO honorable justifiable valid reason to personally own such an attack rifle!
- Here again, the victims' families should file suite against the whoever sold the gun to the killer's stepfather as well as the rifle seller and bullet seller and also the producers of bullets!

- Virginia Tech Massacre
on April 16, 2007 between approximately 7:15am and 9:45am -
My heartfelt condolences to the 32 families as well as Cho Seung-Hui's family.
- f handguns were less available, and less easily available, those 33 people, mostly young and cut down in the prime of their lives, would still be alive today!
- It is the easy access as the 77 million handguns (2006) in the U.S. attest that is the root cause of this evil!
- The 33 families should band together and sue the handgun manufacturers, the bullet makers, as well as as the National Rifle Association (NRA) which systematically blocks all positive legislation.
- President Bush Jr. promised to reenact the legislation against assault rifles, but he reneged on that, and did not do anything.
- f handguns were less available, and less easily available, those 33 people, mostly young and cut down in the prime of their lives, would still be alive today!
- Guns
- 3out of 4 youth homicides are committed in the United States.
- Comments from a friend
- Violence is certainly reprehensible, but the US has found an
effective means of population control that shouldn't be sneered at.
- Kyoto
- The United States should ratify Kyoto, rapidly! And not cower behind
its polluting industries!
- At least some States have ratified it!
- At least some States have ratified it!
- Land Mines
- The United States should not only support but instigate a total
ban on anti-personnel land mines.
- Bush
-
- Improperly elected!
- Alcoholic!
- Questionable intelligence
- Cannot separate himself from family oil interests.
- Family troubles make him want to bash Saddam Hussein.
- No reagard for Human Rights, neither in Texas (when he was governor), nor in Iraq - where he inflicts pain and suffering on the poor Iraqi people.
- Conclusion: Impeach George W. Bush for incompetence, wasting taxpayer money and U.S. resources, and putting his vested interests in Oil ahead of the American or Iraqi peoples.
- ... or sue him!
George Washington Bush
Yes, George is a Liar. There's No Beating Around the Bush.
